Another team tried to find it but failed to reach the top of the mountain because of the time. It was nearly dark when they came back to the camp site
Following the plan of the team we are set to find this big crater that possibly leads to the cave that found by the drone of Cassandra during its flying of the area.
The next day team were seperated in four different groups. Ben, ilian and I were assigned to find and continue this mission that was already half way explored by the other group.
The mission is to reach the top of the mountain as much as we can so we can navigate where the crater starting from.
We arrived at the starting point knwon as the hunter working place where we needed to see the point/mark to follow the right path thatcan bring us. We knew it will be not so easy but we came prepared and motivated to finish this mission.
along the way Ilian was checking the map while ben and I following the lead.
It took us 40 minutes to reach the first point made by the other group.
We continued and strictly followed the map.
Not too long ago we lost the mark and thought that was just the last place the other group manage to explore, We dont have any clues where we have to start.
This time we need to continue making marks for our way back and for the next group to find the same way.
Bamboos are approaching everywhere as if waiting us to pass and bring the password so they will open the trail, but that did not happen! We decided to bring our machette and started to make our path.

Hmmm we felt this fresh air coming that can lead us to the crater, cave feels I bet ?
Using our instinct we rushed to this rock formation where the hole can be found but it was not there, it was just another spot where we decided to take a break and eat.
the place was actually beautiful and exciting where we would end up.
I climbed up to this rock formations to look around from above while Ilian and Ben preparing for food. We dont waste time! In the end we are still nowhere.
Following the mission we continued and its not changing. We are confused and kind of tired fighting with the bamboos. Ben started to lead the way and make this trail again it looks like we are close but its too far from the sight.
14:00 still this crater cannot be found.
As part of the team I asked them if I can lead this time and use this machete to make the way. I guess there was a moment where we all got frustrated a little bit. the exploration continued.
Meanwhile……. Ohlala Finally bamboos are gone I swear I talk a lot of bamboos because there were all impossible to count. Calling the attention of Ben and Ilian that I saw this big white wall and I think we found it! Finally that took us a while. We followed the sight and sat next to it like literally next to it and we observed the area, The most beautiful Crater I ever saw in my life.
Ben and Ilian with a lot of knowledge of safety we decided not too go down from where we sitted. We took our time to feel the peace and beauty of it whils, ben is taking some photos.
That was such a relief moment, we decided to go down to find if there is any spot where we can easily enter the crater. We found this spot and we didnt hesitate to agree to each other that this will be the easiest way. Ben started to prepare the rope so we can start to go discover it !
As we are heading down inside the crater we observed the place and start to rush and work on what we have to be done. Beng inside this big crater we decided to find the big window. As my experience I can say this is really the coolest thing I have witnessed. Imagine being in the jungle and another jungle inside of the crater, its just mind blowing.
So We thought that we arrive to the edge of the cratere to the big windows but actualy we found a cliff going down and it is quite deep. we went more closer to the edge and threw some rocks to hear the sound of if there is any cave or any leads that can give us another perspective, giving some time to study the areas of surroundings we are convinced to come back to the base camp as we are running out of time and it will be dark anyways if we stay longer.
Mind as well going back to the base camp is another mission as we need to make another point/marks
To be honest to navigate the way back was not too difficult we just have to pass the mountain going down and leave marks on the way down. In the middle of this way going down we were struggling as we were not able to just pass some trees, but then after tryng to see other way out, at this moment Ben thought about installing another rope as we are not sure what was ahead us but the creek. Went down with the rope and finally we saw the path way clear and it was like an old and abandoned hunter path where it led us to the valley.. Oh My BeerLao we didnt know there was this way we could have taken that!
To finally see and found it, we are glad that our mission was accomplished. It was just enough experience we shared in this moment.
